July 3 - First Thursdays on the Penn Corridor

             Be part of the excitement of tonight's "Thursday on the Penn Corridor."
            
Catch the FREE VF Village Outlet shuttle from 5pm to midnight and take
             in
the shopping, dining, music, exhibits, food and drink specials along the

             Penn Corridor.

             The GoggleWorks will be open from 5 - 8pm.  The Berks Arts Alliance  

             Exhibition will be showing in the Cohen Gallery, the Berks Bards

             poetry group will have its anniversary party in The Bravo Café, and much

             more!  Thursday's are for doing the Penn Corridor... the rest of the week is 

             for staying at home.

             On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 11:45 a.m. at the Reading 

             Public Museum, Department of Lifelong Learning Staff will offer a story 

             reading, brief tour and hands-on activity for ages 4-5 years old.

Aug. 8 - IMAX at Entertainment Square Opens Tonight !!!

                   Reading Movies 11 and IMAX at Entertainment Square, 30 N. Second Street,

              Reading opens today. The theatre will feature Digital projection, 3D,

              HPS4000 sound system with Dolby digital, stadium seating, highback

              rockers, game room and party room.  There will be 3 hour free parking in

              the garage directly across the street at all times as well as 3 hour free

              parking in the garage behind the theatre from 5 pm Friday through the last

              show on Sunday. This garage will also be available on all other days that

              RACC is not in session.

              7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. - RACC, Schmidt Training & Technology Center

              Michael Pace, a native speaker from the Delaware Nation in Oklahoma will be

              leading the seminar.  He has extensive experience in teaching both the

              Unami langauge and the culture of the Lenape.  The seminar will cover:

              language, life experience, food, spirituality, singing and dance.  The cost of

              this seminar is $40.00 per person and will include lunch, dinner, plus snacks

              at breaks, a conversational language book and supplies for keeping notes.
