RiverPlace Happenings on BCTV

 

RiverPlace Happenings is a new monthly, half-hour program on BCTV, hosted by County Commissioner Kevin Barnhardt and developed in conjunction with the staff, Board, and volunteers of RiverPlace.  The program regularly spotlights various locations of interest along the Schuylkill Riverfront, showcasing a growing variety of attractions, amenities and endeavors.

In addition to being an educational resource to familiarize everyone with our amazing Riverfront area, this program also serves to recognize and highlight the many volunteers, local governments, and partner organizations working together to make great things happen.  Programs include live on-location footage and studio interviews.  

Scheduled airtime for RiverPlace Happenings:

A new 30 minute episode of RiverPlace Happenings airs on the fourth Friday of every month at 10:30 a.m. on BCTV. The episode will rebroadcast three times over the following four days as follows:  Saturday at 9:30 a.m., Sunday at 10:30 a.m., and Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.  All new and archived episodes are always available for on-line play at any time at www.bctv.org.

The theme of the latest episode was "Is It a Giggle or a Goggle?" highlighting both recent Goggleworks events and activities (e.g. The LED light installation on the windows facing Washington Street) as well as an overview and an update on the progess of the highly anticipated Giggle Works Children's Museum.
