In late March 2007, the first brightly colored RiverPlace event banners appeared on the Penn Street Bridge, advertising the first annual Cherry Blossom Festival.

Currently, ten "RiverPlace" banners are in full view on the Penn Street Bridge.  These banners make the RiverPlace logo visible to the thousands of motorists and pedestrians that cross the Schuylkill River via the Penn Street Bridge on a daily basis.

Every year brightly colored banners advertising the Solar Flair Music and Arts Festival, the 5K Race the Cherry Blossom Festival, Jazzfest, and Riverfest will be raised on the Penn Street Bridge. These 30" x 60" banners provide a graphic announcement of these events, including the dates that they are to be held. 

Although the event banners are taken down following the end of each event , the bridge will continue to host the RiverPlace logo banners.
