Description: Born in Haddonfield, NJ, Poole was a painter, illustrator, writer, lecturer, and teacher. He was a pupil and fellowship member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and a recipient of the honorary degree of Doctor of Science from Franklin and Marshall College. Poole moved to Reading and was the Director of Art Education at the Reading School District, and the Director of the Reading Public Museum from 1938-1957.
