Join us on the Riverbank during the Cherry Blossom Festival!

Check out all the ways you can get involved with the Schuylkill River Dragon Boat Flotillas!

WATCH  Come to the Riverfront to see the amazing flotilla of canoes, kayaks, and dragon boats every Sunday during Greater Reading’s Cherry Blossom Festival.  Numerous great free viewing points including the Buttonwood and Penn Street Bridges, West Reading’s Bertolet fishing pier, Confluence Point Park, and Reading’s Riverfront Park.  Bring the family and enjoy an afternoon on the river, complete with food and entertainment at the landing site, Reading’s Riverfront Park.

PADDLE  Have a canoe or kayak collecting dust in your garage?  Get it back on the water and join in the flotilla fun!  Flotillas will start forming at 10 a.m. at Muhlenberg Township’s Park, and will depart at noon with assistance from the Keystone Canoe Club.  The boats will arrive at Kerper’s Landing in Reading’s Riverfront Park about 12:30.

SPONSOR Make it possible for local students to create their own dragon boat, at the cost of only $200 per boat.  Businesses and groups can fund a dragon boat project to support the community and promote their organization.

BUILD  Construct your own dragon, bird, or fish boat to be featured in the flotilla.
